One-Time Gift
A single contribution of any size goes directly to the fund where it is most needed — track materials, locomotive restoration, building repairs, or archival work.
Donate Stock
A gift of appreciated securities may let you avoid capital gains tax while receiving a full fair-market-value charitable deduction. Contact us to initiate a transfer.
Matching Gifts
Many employers match charitable contributions. Check with your HR department and list the EBT Foundation as your nonprofit.

Partner with the EBT Foundation to connect your business with history enthusiasts and families while supporting the preservation of our historic railroad.

Planned Giving
Leave a lasting legacy for the EBT
A planned gift ensures the East Broad Top continues its work long after your lifetime. Bequests and beneficiary designations require no immediate outlay, yet become transformational assets for the Foundation’s preservation mission.
We encourage you to consult your financial or legal advisor. Our team is available to discuss gift structures, provide documentation, and acknowledge your intentions through the Acorn Society.
- Bequest in Will or Trust
Designate a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or residual assets to the EBT Foundation in your will or revocable trust.
- Beneficiary Designation
Name the EBT Foundation as beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy, or bank account — often the most tax-efficient legacy gift.
- Charitable Remainder Trust
Transfer assets to a CRT and receive income during your lifetime; the remainder passes to the Foundation at the trust’s termination.
- IRA Charitable Rollover
Donors 70½ or older may transfer up to $105,000 annually from an IRA directly to the Foundation — satisfying required minimum distributions tax-free.
- Real Property or Easement
Gifts of real estate, conservation easements, or tangible property with railroad historical significance are considered on a case-by-case basis.
